A friend's best man.
What a great picture. The energy of the water and calmness of man and his dog create a great contrast. Also, the strong values of the figures give us a sense of light. Really like the sky blue foreground.
I have to say I really like the fellowship between the two; you can tell they've been together for a long time. In addition to your beautiful painting style, I love the compostition here, the repetition of horizontal bands of color broken with the man's vertical body is superb!
Great values in the waves. Might not want to be out there on the beach today; could be big waves w/ from the tsunami.
Another great beach piece.Peaceful before the Tsunami warning.
Wonderful painting Edward....hoping you are safe today.
You really captured the relationship between the man and dog, and I agree with Pam, your values in the water are spot on!
You really captured this one! the composition, colors brushstrokes, everything!
Ireally like the strong sense of light and shadow in this painting. Just wonderful!
I feel like I am there. great reflections.
Lovely composition, great "feel"--I can hear the waves.
Great! Dynamic darks, my friend!
Wonderful feel to this piece Ed. You really captured the beach atmosphere.
My wife and I just returned from the Fabulous Higbee 6 x 6 show with your painting "Beach Day". We went because I had two paintings in the show. In the car on the way down my wife made me promise not to let her buy a painting, but when she saw this one she fell in love. It reminds us of our own golden retriever "Mandy" who loves the water. Unfortunately due to hip problems she doesn't get around like she used to. Thank you for capturing this beautiful moment of joy for us to enjoyScott & Sue Dienhart
