Karin Jurick Tribute

Karin Jurick
10"x8" oil
Shortly after the last challenge on Karin Jurick's Different Strokes from Different Folks was posted, many of the participants were contacted by one of the participants, Jill Polsby, she wanted to create something special for Karin as a thank you. The final out come is a book made up of portraits of Karin that 118 of us contributed to this gift. You can see all 118 portraits by clicking on 118 portraits.

The feathery brushwork and tonalist colors are so uniquely you. I remember seeing your painting of Jack having these same great signature elements. Very nice.

Scrolling the little thumbnails of the blog list on my sidebar, it's kind of spooky seeing so many Karin Jurick's. There were some good ones, but yours is at the top of the easel. As a matter of fact, I think I'll nominate you for Michelle Obama's personal artist aide.
