The Flying Moleskins - JAZZ

Acrylic
I'm a member of a recently formed group of artists who will be sending their Moleskine journals, which range in themes, to each other and by the time we have our own journal back, every artist will have done a sketch or painting in it. My theme is music, I have it playing all the time in my studio and since jazz is my favorite form of music I did this piece.
This wonderful idea was thought up by Dominique Eichi. Please take a look at "The Flying Moleskins" and follow our journey.

I love the nostalgia of this piece, Edward. Scat and the Cotton Club come to mind. What a fabulous show this looks to be! Another great painting by Edward Burton!

Love your jazz theme, Edward...you and my husband would be big "jazz buddies"! Know you and the other moleskin participants are going to have a great time exchanging artwork. Wish there was a way that each of you could share the views in your completed journals. Thanks for visiting my blog recently.

what a fabulous idea with the moleskins.
Hey, Edward. I just watched the movie, "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill" and was enchanted with the scenery from his perch on the hill, as well as the birds. Loved it!
