Cruising Time!

I'm off for another adventure - this time it is a Scandinavian cruise with the highlight being a 2-day stay in St. Petersberg, Russia! I am very much looking forward to the excursion to The Hermitage Museum. Another stop that should be interesting is the Absolut Ice Bar in Stockholm, Sweden, where the year-round temperature is kept at 23 degrees f. I will post a few photos when I return.

Flying Moleskin - Lisbon, Portugal

Lisbon, Portugal
acrylic 7.5"x10"
This is my contribution to the Flying Moleskins project for Vern Schwarz's book. When I first came across Vern's blog and became aware of his wonderful work, he was in the process of painting a large scene of Lisbon - actually just the other side of the large archway looking out through it, and since we love Lisbon, I thought I'd do a painting of it as well.

The Flying Moleskins - JAZZ

Acrylic
I'm a member of a recently formed group of artists who will be sending their Moleskine journals, which range in themes, to each other and by the time we have our own journal back, every artist will have done a sketch or painting in it. My theme is music, I have it playing all the time in my studio and since jazz is my favorite form of music I did this piece.
This wonderful idea was thought up by Dominique Eichi. Please take a look at "The Flying Moleskins" and follow our journey.
