Oh this is so beautiful.Perfect! At first I thought that I am looking at Karin's blog. What a beautiful piece Edward. And Sheila is right about doing more.
Wow, what a complicated piece to do and it turned out so well. I love the soft light that leads your eye to the Renoir. And the figure isn't overpowering...just a part of the whole. Really good painting.
I would say WOW but Shelia beat me to it. What the heck..WOW! This is really gorgeous. You did such a great job on the Renoir. I like that golden glow and the way the observing figure is in shadow. Excellent! May I have another, please?
I am so glad to have found your blog (via your comment on Nancy Medina's. The paintings are lovely; I especially like the soft mood and close relationship portrayed in "Beach Girl".
I looked twice to be sure that your masterful "The Art Lover" is a 9 X 12--it's so amazing what you have captured in a relatively small work, yet without letting it become too detailed or fussy. Thank you for sharing your pieces with all of us.
Hi Edward, I have given you the Bella Sinclair award. Thank you for being the first to follow my blog - it was very encouraging to see you had signed up. You can pass the award on to six others that have inspired you.

You need to do a series of these Edward and then have that show you need to do.
Love the lighting...gives it a nice mood. I also agree with Sheila!
You have a wonderful grasp of mood and expression. And your sense of lighting and atmosphere is great.

I love this piece Edward. The atmosphere is wonderful, your figure in shadow is really nice and the Renoir...well only he painted it better!
Edward... I can't believe you did a painting in a painting. WOW! Fantastic work!
great painting, how did you manage to take a photo in an art museum? I tried that in Seattle and I was pounced on!
I agree with Sheila - this is stunning and you need to do more.
I agree with all here, especially love the contrast of the figure in shadow and the golden light on Renoir's painting.
Move over, Karen!
This is 'quietly' lovely.I second Dana's review.
I love the lighting, too! Great job!
Edward, this is beautiful! I agree with everyone here. I also like how the viewer was drawn back to Renoir's painting for one more glance.

Your last two dog paintings are fantastic too...that one of Hanna just makes me feel good. You captured a wonderful doggie vibe there.
