Such great detail and nice balance between all of your wonderful warm highlights and the cool shadows.... I especially like the highlight that is placed just so on the dog's tongue.

In addition to the swipe of light on the dog's tongue, I love the light on his front paw, the bushy curved tail, and I agree, the sparkle in the water is awesome. So much to like here...

The light is wonderful in this painting. And the edge of the water looks exactly as it does when the small wave laps up to shore, leaving the wet sand. Beautiful picture.
